Engine 771
Engine 771

Engine 771 - 1994 Pierce Saber. It is a class A pumper and is used as a rescue engine. It is first due on all structure and vehicle fires, and responds to all vehicle crashes or other rescue type incidents. It also responds to all non-fire emergencies; such as downed power lines, gas leaks, carbon monoxide checks, and hazardous material spills.

It caries 750 gallons of water and has a 1500 GPM Waterous pump. It is equipped with a 12,000 lbs. Winch mounted in the front bumper. It carries a full compliment of rescue equipment, including Holmatro extraction tools, air bags, torches, cribbing, ropes, and pulleys. Also carried on board are a full compliment of ground ladders, BLS medical equipment, and some spill confinement/leak mitigation equipment. When fully staffed it can seat six firefighters.

Engine 772 - 1990 Summit on a Ford F-350 4X4 chassis. It is a mini-pumper and is used as a brush and utility truck. It is first due on all brush, grass, or field fires. It is also used to tow the boat and air trailer. It responds to water rescues, large scale fires were the air trailer would be used, special details, or when deemed necessary.

The mini-pumper carries 200 gallons of water and has a 400 GPM Waterous pump. It has brush fire equipment such as brooms, shovels, and water packs. It also carries a full compliment of ground ladders, BLS medical equipment, and has a back up extrication equipment. When fully staffed it can seat two firefighters. This apparatus was purchased used in 1999 and had previously served the Ottawa Hills Fire & Rescue Department.

Ladder 773 - 1989 Pierce Lance. It is a class A pumper and is used as a truck. It is second due on all structure fires, and first due on requests for mutual aid assistants, or as deemed necessary.

It carries 500 gallons of water and has a 1250 GPM Waterous pump. It is equipped with a 50 ft. Tele-Squrt aerial ladder. It also carries multiple force able entry tools, ventilation, selvage equipment, a large assortment of ground ladders, and BLS medical equipment. When fully staffed it can seat five firefighters. This apparatus was purchased used in 2001, and had previously served the Charlotte (NC) Fire Department.

Engine 774 - 1982 Pierce Suburban on a Ford C8000 Chassis. It is a class A pumper and is used as an engine and foam truck. It is third due on all structure fires, second due on brush and field fires, and responds to vehicle crashed as necessary.

It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1000 GPM Waterous pump. It also has a 60 gallon foam tank that holds AFFF (class B foam). It carries a full compliment of ground ladders, a foam generator, foam application devices, several jugs of AFFF and high expansion foam. When fully staffed it can seat five firefighters.


Tanker 776

Tanker 776 - 2007 Fouts Brothers on a Kenworth T300 chassis. This is a tanker/tender. Responds to all large fires to areas that aren’t protected by fire hydrants. This includes structures, brush/field, and mutual aid requests.

It carries 3000 gallons of water and has a 500 GPM Darley pump. Equipment on this truck includes two portable dump tanks, one with a 3000 gallon capacity, and the other can hold 2100 gallons of water. It also carries various drafting and water supply appliances and hoses. When fully staffed it can seat two firefighters.


Medic 777
Medic 777

Medic 777 - 2004 Braun Chief XL on a GMC 4500 chassis. This is am EMS transport vehicle. It is the primary medical unit that responds to EMS calls, rescue incidents, and vehicle collisions.

It is a fully equipped ALS (Advanced Life Support) rig. This includes advanced airways, IVs, medications, and cardiac monitoring.

Medic 778 - 1990 Braun SLFEA on a Ford E-350 chassis. This is an EMS transport vehicle. It is the secondary medical unit that responds to EMS calls, rescue incidents, and vehicle collisions.

It is a fully equipped ALS rig and is the back up to Medic 777.

 


Boat
Boat

Boat - 12 ft. Lund, unknown year. It is an aluminum V hall boat equipped with an 8 HP Mariner outboard motor. It is used for water rescues on the Portage River, local ponds, and other department’s request for assistants. It also gets used to help evacuate residents from their homes when the Portage River floods.

This was donated by the family of a retired firefighter when he passed away.
